This position offers you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of hospitality food service. As a Food Service Trainee, you will be exposed to the daily operations of the food service industry, while performing practical training assignments. |

| SALARY
Compensation is based on position. When the CA is working in a tipped position, they will be paid at the tip rate. Overtime laws apply when the CA works more than 40 hours in his/her scheduled week. The rate of pay on the DS form is an average rate of pay. ♦ Culinary $12.00 an hour ♦ Hostess $9.00 an hour ♦ Server Assistant $8.00 an hour ♦ Server $4.50 an hour plus tips HOUSING The resort has on-site housing to accommodate a total of 13 people – 7 in one cottage which has 3-two bedroom rooms, and 1-one bedroom room, and a second cottage that has 3-two bedroom rooms. As we did previously, they would pay approximately $90/ weekly (rent + $10 weekly damage deposit) plus utilities split between all occupants of the unit. ♦ CAs will share his/her bedroom. ♦ CAs can not break the lease and must remain in housing throughout training period. ♦ AHA and host property rules apply and are strictly enforced. ♦ Apartments are furnished with the basics. ♦ Housing is within walking distance to the resort. TRANSPORTATION CA may fly into Southwest Florida International Airport, Fort Myers, Florida or Miami International Airport. Our trainees have found renting a car to Fort Myers, or taking the greyhound bus to Fort Myers is the easiest method to arrive. Individuals who are interested in taking the bus from Miami to Fort Myers should visit Greyhound website for more details.www.greyhound.com With 10 day travel notification, the resort will pick you up at the Fort Myers airport or Fort Myers Greyhound bus station. DAILY TRANSPORTATION CA are responsible for transportation to and from work. There is very limited public transportation in Fort Myers. ARRIVING TO YOUR HOST PROPERTY Please read the arrival policy carefully, this policy includes: ♦ CA should make the effort to arrive to their host property site Monday through Friday between the hours of 9am and 4pm. ♦ CA should make the effort to inform AHA of their arrival details 10 business day prior to arriving. This time frame is needed in order to coordinate your arrival and your housing with the host property. ♦ The U.S.A. customs process can take 2-3 hours. Please consider this when making your arrival plans. ♦ Upon your arrival, please contact your AHA IMMEDIATELY. This is required in order to properly validate your visa. Failure to validate your visa will result in the cancellation and termination of your program. DRUG FREE WORKPLACE Host Properties of AHA are Drug Free Work Place. You will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test. Failure to pass such drug test will result in immediate termination, cancellation of visa sponsorship and immediate repatriation. UNIFORM DETAILS Appearance standards STRICTLY enforced. Review AHA handbook for complete details. CAs will be provided with basic uniforms. CAs are requested to bring the following items: Black tennis shoes – comfortable White Tennis Shoes Black and tan shorts and dress slacks White t-shirts Black belt Business cloth for hotel meetings SOCIAL SECURITY REQUIREMENTS Upon arrival you will be required to apply for and obtain a social security card. Your host property will provide you with directions and information on how to obtain this card. OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS To insure your success it is important that you have clear program and host property expectations. You are responsible for reading, reviewing and understanding the AHA program, your training plan, your training agreement, the policies and procedures guidebook and property specific information – you will be require to adhere to all information contained in these documents.
