| FOOD AND BEVERAGE
This position offers you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of hospitality food service. As a Food Service Trainee, you will be exposed to the daily operations of the food service industry, while performing practical training assignments. FRONT OFFICE This position offers you the opportunity to understand the daily operational procedures of a hotel or resort front office. CULINARY This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of hospitality food service. Culinary Trainee is exposed to the daily operations of the food service industry - specifically, the day to day food preparation, while performing practical training assignments. |

| POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Food and Beverage - 8 Culinary - 10 Front Office - 0 SALARY Compensation is based on position. When working in a tipped position, participant will be paid the tip rate. Overtime laws apply when working more than 40 hours in scheduled week. The rate of pay on the DS form is an average rate of pay. Food & Beverage Server - $10 to $11 per hour Culinary - $10 to $11 per hour HOUSING This employer does not offer employee housing. The participant is expected to find their own housing. Prior to arrival the host property and participant is in communication and the host property manager sends the participants information about apartments and roommates in order for the participants to begin securing housing before they arrive. The majority of participants should expect to share bedrooms to keep cost down. On average, a participant can expect to pay $300 - $400 per month on shared housing. The participant should be ready to pay a security deposit, first month and sometimes last month when signing an apartment rental lease. Typically, the security deposit is 100% refundable as long as the terms of the lease have been met and the apartment is returned in the same condition as it was rented. Security deposit is normally equal to one months’ rent, sometimes lower. TRANSPORTATION TO TRAINING SITE Upon hire, host property will communicate best method of arriving to hotel. DAILY TRANSPORTATION Participants are responsible for transportation to and from work. DRUG FREE WORKPLACE Host Properties of AHA are Drug Free Work Place. You will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test. Failure to pass such drug test will result in immediate termination, cancellation of visa sponsorship and immediate repatriation. SOCIAL SECURITY REQUIREMENTS Upon arrival you will be required to apply for and obtain a social security card. Your host property will provide you with directions and information on how to obtain this card. |
