| SALARY
Compensation is based on position. When working in a tipped position, participant will be paid the tip rate. Overtime laws apply when working more than 40 hours in scheduled week. Front Office: $7.25 HOURS PER WEEK J1 regulations require the number of hours per week to be a minimum of 32 hours per week. There may be a few times the hours fall below this, but the majority of the time the participant should be scheduled over 32 hours per week. If a participant works more than 40 hours per week, overtime laws apply and the participant must receive their hourly rate plus one half for every hour worked over 40. HOUSING very affordable accommodation in area TRANSPORTATION Transportation to and from daily work schedule is the responsibility of the participant. Most of the participants live close to the hotel so they are able to walk, ride a bicycle or take public transportation. Transportation from airport to hotel is the responsibility of the participant - upon hire, host property will communicate best method of arriving to hotel. Air Transportation is the responsibility of the participant. DRUG FREE WORKPLACE This Host Property is Drug Free Work Place. You will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test. Failure to pass such drug test will result in immediate termination, cancellation of visa sponsorship and immediate repatriation. Trainees are not permitted to start working until the host property receives the results of the drug test, this can take a few days. SOCIAL SECURITY REQUIREMENTS Upon arrival you will be required to apply for and obtain a social security card. Your host property will provide you with directions and information on how to obtain this card. |
