| Retail clerks will work in gift shops and will be required to make coffee, various small ice cream confections as well as provide guests with service when selling retail items. Retail Clerks will work in several different areas and will also be asked to re-stock, clean and price new items as they arrive. Retail clerks are in constant contact with the public and must have advanced English skills.
Restaurant Cashiers are much the same as the retail clerks however will be in contact with the public also. Cashiers will take food orders from guests, they will give the orders to the cooks in the kitchen and then they will deliver the finished food order to the guest. Restaurant Cashiers will also take money from the guest so cashiers must have advanced English skills and must be able to count USD $ and balance their cash drawer at the end of their shift. |

| Level of English Required: Advanced to Fluent
Overtime: Possible but not guaranteed if you do work overtime you will be paid time and a half. Skills Required: Students must be able to speak/understand/write English well enough to communicate with fellow employees as well as the general public. English is the only language that will be used by students while they are on the job. Native languages can only be used while the student is off the clock and out of earshot of Resort Guests. Students must also be able to handle American Money. They must have a firm understanding of cash and credit card transactions & must be able to balance a cash drawer at the end of their shift. Meal discounts: Wisconsin Dells Fun Card: pay $15 for card & receive 1 free admission to all Wisconsin Dells attractions. Uniforms: Black pants are required in every department and cost 25 USD. $1 per day will be charged for laundering the uniform blouse which each employee picks up from & returns to the uniform room each day. Comfortable Black shoes for long periods of standing or walking are also a required part of the uniform which the employee may obtain on his/her own_ Some departments will require non-slip black shoes and they will cost between $20-90 depending on employee choice. Dress Code: You must be in uniform at all times while working. If you damage the housing you will be responsible for those damages. Rooms will accommodate up to 4 people and have private bathrooms and kitchens. Each student should expect to have 3 roommates. Students have access to laundry facilities & cleaning supplies. Housing is on the property so students are able to walk to work. Deposit: $250 |
