| You must be outgoing, not afraid to speak with people and approach them to ask for their business and be able to drive pedicab.
Pedicab driver: operates as an independent contractor and enters into a separate lease agreement with Ballpark Pedicabs. This position requires extensive physical work through pedaling tricycles and transporting passengers; minimum requirement of fluent English; must be sales oriented, friendly and able to approach potential customers, ask for their business, and transport them to their desired location, and there will be times you will need to handle rejection. Area knowledge of San Diego is helpful. May be required to obtain California Driver’s License, however, not at this time. Minimum 9 hours a week – 40+ hours a week. |

No English Reading Ability: Fluent General Requirements: This job is not for everyone - you must be fit enough to drive the pedicab, English must be fluent so you can communicate with the clients. Working Conditions: You are outdoor at all times--weather could be raining or cold. Skills/Experience: You must have a driver's license in your home country, be very outgoing, great communication skills and be physically fit enough to drive the pedicab. Physical Demands: This is a physically demanding job as you will be riding the pedicab for many hours in a day with guests riding the cart behind you on the bike. Prerequisites: You will need to bring a $250 for a deposit--all but $35 is refundable at the end of the program--see additional information for full details. Must also read, understand and sign the addition information document. Dress Code: We suggest bringing khaki/tan colored shorts or pants, white tennis shoes. A ballpark Pedicabs t-shirt will be expected to be worn as part of your professional appearance. Meals: No Housing Provided? No Assistance to find housing? Yes Student must stay at housing provided? No Housing Fee: $140.00 Housing Fee Schedule: Per Week Distance from Housing to Work: Varies, 1-5 miles Transportation to/from work: Walking or bus Housing Address: There are many housing options and Ballpark will assist upon arrival. Additional Information: Expect to work 7 days a week from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Schedules will be issued by your manager. Job provided 10 hours per week with the option for more hours. However, with proper notification, the employer encourages a second job during slow times.
